SMALL GROUPS
At Creekside, we believe that life is a team sport – best done together!
So we encourage you to check out our Spring 2008 Small Groups. Small
groups are a great way to meet new people, have fun and grow in your
faith.
Each group
has 10-15 people who meet together weekly for around an hour and a half
to share their lives, study the Bible, pray, have fun, and serve the
community together.
Most of the spring semester groups begin the week of
January 14th and continue through the middle of May.
You can
sign up for the group of your choice in one of two ways:
-
Sign-up at any Saturday or Sunday service in
September. Just write your name, contact information and the group
you’re interested in on a prayer request slip and drop it in the
offering box.
-
Sign-up online at
www.creeksidecommunity.org.
The group
leader will contact you with more information. Don’t procrastinate!
Groups fill up fast.
If you have any questions about small groups at Creekside, contact

Prophecy In Judah Part II
In
722 BC, the Northern Kingdom of Israel fell to the Assyrians leaving
only the Southern Kingdom of Judah as the Jewish homeland. During
the ensuing 130+ years, prophets arose in the land calling for
repentance and a return to honoring the Covenant established between
God and Abraham and Abraham's descendents. Our group will study the
prophetic writings of this period focusing on Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel,
Zephaniah, Nahum, and Habakkuk. The format is an open discussion Bible
study. Preparation requires reading six chapters of the Bible each
week.

The
Gospel According To Matthew
In
many ways, Matthew's gospel is a bridge between the Old and New
Testaments. Matthew wrote specifically to the Jews to prove that Jesus
is indeed the promised Messiah and King of Israel. Like the other
gospels, Matthew focuses on Jesus' three year ministry, emphasizing both
His miracles and His teaching, and closes with His crucifixion
and resurrection.

TUESDAY GROUPS
How
To Make Choices You Won’t Regret
Every day we face innumerable decisions, some of which have the
potential to change the course of our lives forever. Certain avenues
open to us are marked with hidden pitfalls or lead in harmful
directions. And in some instances the wrong choice can even bring
death. What do you do when faced with temptation? How do you decide
what choices to make? This study answers those questions by exploring
the role of Scripture and the Holy Spirit in the decision making
process, as well as examining the choices of people such as David,
Josiah, Eve and Jesus. As you learn, you will be equipped to make
choices that bring honor to God and peace to your heart.
The workbook is $8.00. This group will meet for six weeks, from January
8th - February 12th.
Location:
Creekside Upstairs Conference Room
