OTHER PEOPLE'S SINS
Luke 17:1-4

Be Realistic.                                                                                                                                    "And He said to His disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause of these little ones to sin."

How seriously do I take the pervasiveness and destructiveness of sin?

Be Alert.                                                                                                                                         "Pay attention to yourselves!"

Who is responsible to guard the church from sin?

Be Honest - With Love.                                                                                                                       "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, “I repent,” you must forgive him.”

The Art of Effective Rebuking.                                                                                                       "Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted." (Galatians 6:1)

What is My Motive?                                                                                                                      "You who are spiritual . . ."

What is My Goal?                                                                                                                          "Restore such a one . . ."

What do I Say?                                                                                                                                    "In a spirit of gentleness . . ."

What is My Attitude?                                                                                                                          "Each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted."
