DESCRIPTION: Get your hands dirty trimming bushes, mowing the front lawn, or pulling weeds at Casa Vincentia, a home for unwed mothers in Oakland.

OPPORTUNITY: Cook Dinner For Women And Children
TIME: Flexible days and times
DESCRIPTION: Cook dinner as a group for women and children residing at a safe house through Building Futures With Women And Chidlren. You can cook dinner one evening and deliver it the next day. Contact Kathy Greer to set up a date and receive more information.

OPPORTUNITY: Halcyon Baptist Food Pantry
TIME: June 15th and 16th from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
DESCRIPTION: Fill bags with food for families in need. Join the food pantry team at Halcyon Baptist Church at 2860 Halcyon Dr. in San Leandro.

OPPORTUNITY: Holy Tearers
TIME: June 24th from 1:00-2:30 p.m.
DESCRIPTION: Join the "Holy Tearers" as we tear bandanges for hospitals in the Congo. You can have fun sewing or rolling bandages.

OPPORTUNITY: Urban Church Lunch Ministry
TIME: Fourth Sunday of the month at 10:00 a.m.
DESCRIPTION: Help prepare a meal for our partners at the Urban Church, join them for their worship service and then serve them lunch. The Urban Church is located at Sobrante Park Elementary School at 470 El Paseo Drive in Oakland. Funding for the food is provided by Creekside Community Services.

OPPORTUNITY: San Leandro Healthcare Center
TIME: Any Saturday in June
DESCRIPTION: Visit seniors at this nursing home at 368 Juana Ave. in San Leandro. We will supply you with a Bingo game and prizes or a craft to do with the residents.
